One Week Down!

Dear all of you who are reading this,

I have made it one week! Wahoo! Lets just say thats a miracle in itself because there for the first few days it took everything I had not to say okay just kidding I think I'd rather just go back to school! haha Everyone kept telling me that you just had to make it to sunday and I kept thinking right... but by monday I was good! Well sort of. Let me start back at the beginning of this wonderful time at the MTC. So the rest of Wednesday went fine, by about 3 I got hungry and really tired seeing as I hadn't slept or eaten much in the week before I left. So dinner was awesome, we had fried chickedn and mashed potatoes. Yeah mom yours are much better.  after that we did this large group investigator thing, I don't know it was wierd but helpful. My district is amazing! here are some things about them:
My companion is Sister Cordova, she is from Arizona and we get along great! She is a lot better at teaching than me so its been nice to learn from her but we also agree and think a lot a like so no fights! The other sisters in my district are Sis. Sotelle from SLC, sis. Ellis from Hawaii, (awesome right?? ahhh!!) Sister Bender if from Ohio (they are all going to san jose with me) and then there is Sis. Child who is hilarious, when we went around saying our first names she was like "my name is Alphonse" we all died. its really Sara by the way. Then there is Sis Roberson, and Sis Orr. They are all going to Arcadia California. The elders are Elder Hendricks, and Elder Tolpa, and Elder Buckanan an Elder Schwendiman. They are are hillarious, Schwendiman is basically a Tom Christenson so I just laugh at him all the time. We all get a long great and I totally love it! Unfortunatly I don't room with my district, all of the girls are in one room and Sis Cordova and I are in the next room with some other girls who are really nice but really dramatic. If I hear one more thing about a boyfriend... :)
So lets talk about food! They feed you non stop here. and a lot. I see Elders get like 4 plates. Holy crap I can't even finish one plate. haha  I just want normal food!  But they have really good cookies and cake and donuts! Basically the deserts are good. And the fruit they have  a lot of fruit so I eat that a lot.
I will say the MTC is a whole new experience its been tough and teaching people is tough and man over all  I am not one of the people that like it here. Its fine and I can live until next Wednesday but anytime we can go out to the fields or we got to go to the Marriott center last night I just start jumping for joy. Im not a fan of the whole "On campus prison type place" Yeah... But Ill survive. I have really good teachers though and I am starting to feel good about teaching investigators. We did this TRC investigator appointment yesterday and I loved the lady we taught! I have no idea if she is a member acting or if she really is an investigator but I loved it! One pair of Elders in our district thought differently because they got kicked right back out by their investigator.. haha oh well good learning experience!
I have also got to see a lot of people I know in here! I had no clue I would know so many girls! I have seen Hillary Webb, and Nicki Hadley and Tayler Barrett and Camille Jasperson and Kelsi Wall and Blair Higbee and Becca Packer and Cami Bernards and I even found Natalie Belnap today! (yes I know you probably have no idea who half these people are) I also have found a few from SUU that I had met! So much fun!
I also got to take a quick 20 minute nap on Monday. yep life was great.
So as for devotionals and such, they have some really good ones here, Sunday relief society was great and Last night we had a wonderful devotional at the Marriott Center. they have to walk us all down there now for all the missionaries to fit! Crazy! Also we get to go down there for the World wide broadcast this sunday with Pres. Monson, they are keeping things pretty hush hush as to what they are going to talk about but I am excited to go! If you can watch it look for me I will be one of the missionaries NOT in the choir. :)  haha I will probably have a white or blue shirt on too. Well I think my email is going to try and kick me off in a second, we are supposed to have an hour but its only registering 30 minutes so I better send this before I loose it!

I love you all and will hopefully send more in a minute,
I miss you guys so much, Happy late fathers day, and thanks for all that you guys have done for me!

Love Annlie

Dreams

Well this post is a few weeks late but hey better late than never right? It's also going to be long, sorry. Over MLK Jr. Weekend I was able to go to Las Vegas with my mom, I was so excited, I had only been in the airport up until that point and I couldn't wait to really see Vegas. Sad I know, I currently live 2.5 hours away and I have never been there, but what can you do? So after work on Friday my mom picked me up and we headed down. People probably thought I was crazy when I got there because it was oh 45 degrees and I took of my jacket and enjoyed the warm air, which was warm seeing as Cedar had been -17 early that week. Needless to say the daytime temp of 60 was heavenly.
So that was pretty much Friday at which point the real fun began. We did some shopping for school and stopped by our favorite Jewelry store, Charming Charlies and the most wonderful restaurant Bahama Breeze. I was introduced to these places by my sister n' law because they are by her house in Georgia. Unfortunately neither of these chains are located in Utah so when I saw they were in Vegas I of course had to stop there.
After that we headed to the strip. I found it so fascinating. I mean the Forum Shops? I still have no idea how to get out of there. Plus we walked right past Reba McEntire, awesome right? We spent Saturday and part of Sunday walking up and down the strip, I loved it, my mom was worried about corrupting me but I loved the little cities inside each hotel and architecture of the buildings. The Luxor was my favorite, one of my life long dreams is to go to Egypt and well that hotel is the closest I'm going to get for a long while. One Day.
The Best part of the trip was the main reason for going of course! I have this slight obsession. Most girls my age obsess over Justin Bieber (Jandi), One Direction (Anna) or others like that. Me? Nope. I'm obsessed with Celine Dion. Yes that's right so if you hate her you might as well stop reading now. I have loved her for years, ever since my bff Anna introduced me to her music back when I was probably 6 or 7. I always dreamed of seeing her when she was in Vegas years ago but I knew there was an age limit and that I was way to young. Then when I was 15 she came out with her Taking Chances CD, and shortly after it was announced she would be going on tour, right around the time of my 16th birthday. So I started begging my parents for tickets. A couple months later for Christmas I got my wish. I had 2 tickets for Celine at the delta center just a couple days after my 16th birthday. I was thrilled. Really, I almost cried. I also got a computer that year, and I was more excited about the tickets. Strange I know. So I had to wait almost a year to see her and unfortunately right before her concert in SLC she got sick and had to postpone the concert. Due to other events and such I was unable to attend her rescheduled concert. I was devastated. But my dad promised that he would get me to see her sometime. So 3 years later for my 19th b-day I was given tickets again for her Return to Vegas Concert. We scheduled them for June, but due to a new job I couldn't go and we switched the tickets for January 19, 2013. By this point I felt like I would never see her, nothing was going right. So when Saturday the 19th came I still wasn't believing that I would be seeing her. When I finally sat down in Caesars Palace, it hit me. I was freaking out. I had dreamed of this for so long and it was finally here. When they opened the curtains and she was standing there everyone stood and clapped. She hadn't even sung yet and she had a standing ovation! Well that's when the tears started. I know I'm pitiful. I didn't cry in Les Mis or any other show you should but I cried for Celine Dion. Whatever I don't care. Her concert was amazing. I could have listened to her forever. She was funny and wonderful. I was on a high for days after.
However something strange happened. I have loved her for 75% of my life and spent 25% of that waiting to see her in concert. Then after I had seen her I sort of felt empty. My dream had come true, and I wasn't quite sure what to do next. It's like in Tangled when she pauses before the lanterns go up. I was at a point where all of a sudden I had to find a new dream. So after a few days of reveling in the memory I learned to move on. My new dream? Meet Celine Dion. Or make it to Egypt. One of the two. Preferably both. Hey they are called dreams for a reason!

 Now enjoy some pictures!

Also enjoy this wonderful video of her singing during her concert.

Robert Downey Jr.

I am not usually one to post about hot men, so if you aren't interested in that stuff stop reading now. However this is a special little gem. There is something about attractive actors being able to sing that just makes them more attractive. For example, Matt Bomer, Jeremy Renner, Eddie Redmayne, Neil Patrick Harris, take your pick they all have wonderful faces, and voices. So this brings me to Robert Downey Jr. I will admit, he is a bit old for me, but man he is still attractive, and quite entertaining. I just love him as Iron man and he is my favorite Avenger. (followed closely by Hawkeye) Well last night I was informed that RDJ can sing. I was shocked that I didn't already know this so I had to go look him up. Let me just tell you. That man can sing. Who knew? So Here is a clip of him singing. You're welcome. :)

12/12/12

Well I figured since I wrote a post on 11/11/11 last year I should write one this year. But rest assured it will not be an entire post about Harry Potter. I'm just going to update you on things going on in my life!
To Start with it is finals week this week. My last finals were today so now I am all done! It's wonderful. I'm not quite sure what to do with myself now that I don't have to worry about homework. That is one of the wonderful things about college. Christmas break is just that a break. No teachers giving you huge assignments to fill up your time. Just time to chill. My finals weren't horrible. 2 test and 2 papers, neither were that hard, and two projects for my art classes. Those on the other hand were a pain. I was up till 2 in the morning last night and up at 7. Not fun. But it was worth it. So now for some pictures!
My Final for Drawing. I had to mat a picture so I did my apple and banana picture. Sorry I didn't take a picture of it matted, you will all just have to imagine it.
But more importantly I AM DONE WITH DRAWING!!! So I will still have to sketch and such for my classes but no more drawing 1 or 2 or whatever class! I celebrated with a nice delicious unhealthy ice cream sandwich.

Here is Yoda, my pride and joy. We had to make a marionette for our 3D Design Final. I chose to do Yoda. Well actually we had to make up a story to go with it, so this is Adoy, Yoda's son. Its Yoda spelled backwards. Real creative I know.

It is a good thing he is so cute because I was about to shoot him at 1 last night when he kept falling apart.

Also this girl, my BFF, Anna got her mission call today.  She is going to Poland! I am so excited for her, she is going to be a wonderful missionary.  I tried to Face time her since I am a nice long 4 hour drive from her but unfortunatly the internet just didn't want to be nice to us. But she is leaving quite soon so that means I must hang out with her as much as possible. (Got that Anna?)

Not the greatest or most recent photo of us but it basically describes us perfectly. (hint look at the poster behind us)

So I have been seeing these little memes over the past couple days. I really liked this one though because of the "probably" Finally someone besides me is willing to look on the bright side and see that I only have to live to be 109 to see another repeating day. I will do it I tell you!

 Well happy 12.12.12 All!

Just kidding you all thought I was going to make it through this post without mentioning HP! Keep dreaming.
Last night as I was writing my story to go along with Adoy (Yoda) and I was really tired. I mean it was midnight. So I was trying to write Darth Vader. And well This is what happened.
No matter what Harry Potter just always comes back to me... Even when I don't need it too.

H@PPY H@!!OW€€N

So I really should be doing homework, but instead I shall post about Halloween! Halloween is a favorite holiday of mine, however not all the scary stuff, I just like the fun cutesy parts! Unfortunately I didn't get to decorate my house this year, my box of Halloween stuff has disappeared. But that didn't stop me from having some good times! To begin the Halloween events off lets start with my costume for this year.  Zombies!
Jandi and I decided we would go do a zombie walk that a theater in Cedar was putting on. I have never been into the whole zombie thing but I must admit that this was  a very fun costume.
Only one problem with me being a zombie. I fail at being serious. As in every time I tried to look at someone with a death glare I always ended up laughing.
The actual zombie walk was pretty lame but wondering around town after was fun! I was just being a dead zombie but Brance had to attempt a plank.
 Pretty good plank I'd say!
 Yummy Statue...

The highlight of the night was when I decided to jump up and look into a window of the store. I didn't know anyone was standing there because I couldn't see in. Lets just say the guy looking out the window may have been slightly terrified to see my smiling white face pop up in front of him.. Best costume ever!

Next up was Odyssey Dance Theater's Thriller. I had never been to it before, it was actually pretty good!
I went with some of my work buddies. Admissions party all the way!

 Last came pumpkin carving!

 My cute Kitty and pumpkin!
Yeah you can tell I was really wanting to look presentable...

Our pumpkins! In order from left to right is Katie's, mine and then Jandi's. I think my favorite part is that mine and Katie's pumpkins are all cute looking and Jandi's looks like it might kill me. Oh well!
This was the pumpkin my neighbor Weston did. Lets just say he had issues with the mouth...

Other adventures of the zombie walk night included many random and embarrassing moments. To start with I figured I wouldn't know anyone at the zombie walk. That was wrong. My English teacher was there. awkward... Then later that night I was walking out the door and got my dress caught in it. No big deal right? Until I realized that I had locked the door. And left the keys inside. ops. Luckily there was a spare key in my car and my car was unlocked. Then off to the institute dance. So that brings up another subject. I hate institute dances. Last year I went to the Halloween dance and one guy asked me to dance. He was a banana, and he was creepy. But the best part was that he was from Dixie State. What the crap was he doing at a SUU Dance?? Lets just say I ran quickly away after the song ended. So this year I went in and thought I'd made it out safe without any awkward moments. Silly me. A cowboy stopped me as I was walking to my car. Lets just say that I wasn't quite sure if he was still a student.. as in he looked about 10 years older than me. Really first I get hit on by a banana and now a cowboy. I really need to stop going to the Halloween dance. The final event of the night was after we got home. We saw the lights on in our neighbors house and assumed that Brance was in the family room. So we banged on the windows. Nope it wasn't him. It was one of his roommates Kyler and his girlfriend Kori, who we had just scared half to death. Our bad. So that was my Halloween adventures!

R€C€NT @DV€N†UR€S

This post is going to be quite random, just a warning. Pretty much it will be full of pictures of my recent random adventures!

My roommates and I like to attend Shakespeare plays and come back at 11:30 and make alcoholic drinks. Just kidding! This drink is much cooler. I have one word for you. Butterbeer. (Okay it might be two words, not sure) Yep it was pretty darn good. Shakespeare and Harry Potter in one night. Good Saturday I must say!

This was the view from my house the other day. Gorgeous!
So most college students stay up till midnight studying for tests and reading books. I stay up gluing bouncy balls together. No big deal. By far my most favorite 3D design project yet!
So I went back home to Layton for the weekend since it was fall break. This was the sunset as I was about halfway home. These views make me not hate the 4 hour drive so much.
This little guy was a main reason for me going home. My brand new nephew! He as born 2 weeks ago and he is adorable!

We went up to the lake for the day on Saturday. I love this view.
Chase took me shooting so I could try out his new gun. Loved it!

This is the American version of the AK47, possibly called the AR15. Not sure, I just like to call it the AK47 because that gun was always my favorite gun to use on the Nintendo 64 game Perfect Dark. Blowing a cattle bone to pieces was quite fun!
The Handgun. My new goal in life? Learn to shoot this gun, and actually hit something.

Chase took me out to look for the lake trout that are starting to come up by the rocks. I really just enjoyed the view as the sun was setting. (the fish just didn't want to come out and see me)

The rest of my weekend adventures included some much needed time with my BFF Anna, and of course the few other BF's of mine that I saw: Emily, Bree, and Jamey. I also took an adventure through Provo in the dark to see Natalie. That was entertaining, I may have gotten lost. Oh well fun times! Well there is the update on my life!
