Yes I survived...

Yes everyone that heard about the earthquake in Napa i did survive. haha Though it did wake me up and i have come to the conclusion that if i am ever in a real earthquake i will die because as it was shaking i looked at my watch and thought "sweet 2.5 more hours of sleep!" and fell back asleep. yep will die. oh well.

So this is the part where i would love to tell you all that this email is going to rock but its probably not going to. sorry. haha

monday- Pday! we signed journals and did nothing.

tuesday- it was a good day, we met with our investigator kim who informed us of her baptismal date on sep 20th. I love when they plan their own dates and then just tell us. haha We also got to know brenda more, she is a member and amazing! though the ysa ward might have stolen her from up. :(

Wednesday-Luella! we helped clean luellas house. she is the cutest old lady ever with the worst memory. haha

thursday- We saw a lot of people. it was a busy day!

Friday- WAS THE BOMB!! Sister smith was my companion again :) her new comp was at advanced orientation in the mission office so she came with me to do service while sis powell went with another sister to do some service and teach lessons. Multitasking to its finest! plus that meant i got to catch up with smith! and all the monterey people i texted using her phone. haha :) It was a great 4 hours.

Saturday- we did a lot of service. and helped a lady move. i hate moving. haha no it was fun!

Sunday- was busy with church and other things! we contacted a man and in spanish he tried to save us. my comp knew what he was saying but i had no idea. haha but when he got down on his knees and started praying for us i figured he was trying to save us. haha got to love it!

Well this week was much more productive so that was nice! I love you all and have a great week!

You know you are a missionary when...

You go to an outgoing fireside and get home at 1030 so you arent in bed till 11 and then when you wake up you feel like you were at a concert all night and have a hang over. Rough life. haha

So I decided to do something brilliant today! Write the weekly email to yall before i only have 5 minutes of email time left. Smart right? Well I figured I owed you all a nice email so here it is! 

Monday- as I had mentioned we went to santa cruz! not quite monterey but hey it still had a beach! I beautiful weather! People I tell you i was meant to live on a beach. :) 

Tuesday- We have a new lady we are teaching! id tell you her name but i dont know how to spell it. So we shall call her T. She is from india! and has an adorable little boy named nathan. He is cute. We also got to see Ana and Felicia again! they had disappeared last week so we got a little nervous but then we dropped by and found out that their phones werent working. So all it well in the world. 

Wednesday- Busy day! We are trying to meet more ward members so we stopped by a few of them and that was fun! we also saw Tommie and she is great as ever! We also had breakfast for dinner. MY FAVORITE!!! 

Thursday- we saw the Vindiola family! They are so fun. And they have a little girl who is quite shy and wont talk to us but as i left i said can i have a hug? and she looked at me and took a step forward and put her head down (basically she was thinking, ugh if you have to..) But hey progress!! my life goal is to have all the little kids i meet love me. its a great goal. haha

Friday- We saw people, and more people...  and did service. We do service with 2 of the elders in our zone and one is going home this week so it was sad to know that it was his last time with us. he is really funny. haha

Saturday!!- so we took an investigator kim to a baptism, that was good! and then we went and took a dog for a walk! We teach this elderly lady named Luella and she has a dog toby. he is great. So we asked if we could take him for a walk for service! It was fun! Except for when i had to pick up his poop. no i did not take pictures of that. Yes i did take pictures of that when i made my comp pick up the poop the second time. hahaha

Sunday- THE BEST DAY EVER!!! so now on to the outgoing fireside. 

Do you want to knwo what i love? the beach. Do you want to know what i have come to realize? More than the beach i love the people I got to serve with why i was living by the beach. So there was a sister going home that had served in monterey before me and then Elder hardy, who i served with was also going home, so what did that mean? M-Town came to san jose! I got to see all of my favorite people!! okay there were still a few missing like Mary Hannah, and Taylor, and well this list could go on for a while, but i did get to see some people! and the out going was great! super long since there were like 30 missionaries going home but it was so spiritual. at the end we sang the spirit of God and after the 1st verse the outgoing missionaries stood up on the stand (i should have taken a picture dang it!) but then kim (one of the ysa's from monterey) leaned over and was like we should stand, and i said okay but lets wait till the 4th verse and then we turned around and more people started to stand up so next thing you know we are all standing and singing and the spirit was so strong and kim was balling and i was thinking about balling and man it was great. Then of course we all had to say our good byes which since the fireside got done at 930 meant that we were all late. hahaha Hence the late night and the hang over feeling. 

Over all it was a great week!

I am also officially down to 4 months as of yesterday so here we go!!!

So I apologize for emailing so late...

But i was a little busy hanging out with my favorite Hawaiian Sister Ellis at the BEACH!!!!!!!!!!

and that is all i must write in this email. 

haha just kidding!

So this week was good. and bad. haha All of our investigators dropped off the face of the earth so that was unfortunate. but it was still a good week over all! Exciting things that happened?

1. i went on exchanges on tuesday and learned many things. like:

       How to tie a tie.

       That the zone would be going to Santa cruz on monday.

       I tried jambalaya for the first time

       oh. and that i can now PAINT MY FINGER NAILS!!!!!!!

So over all tuesday rocked

So I was going to make this a long email. but alas i have run out of time and curfew is ocming up quickly! So pretty much we got to go to santa cruz today! i was a blast. I am sorry yall but i was meant to live on a beach! really though. the sand the breeze... the atmosphere... I jsut love it!

You know you are a missionary when...

The thing that makes you homesick is not the talk of summer, raspberry days, boating, school, family in town, friends coming home from their missions, the fact that my tv shows will start again soon or the movies i am still missing.. the list goes on but the fact that I DONT GET TO GO TO THE OGDEN TEMPLE OPEN HOUSE!!!!!! People this just isnt fair! I want to go! oh well. least i can go in  the temple when i get home! until then i will just go stock lds.org for pictures. my life. haha 

so this week was good. long. and hard but good. We worked harder than i ever have before and yet we totally didnt see the results number wise. But that doesnt matter because numbers are stupid and people are important! and this week people were the only thing keeping us going. haha

We had a great lesson with rosalie and a great time helping tommie and so many good things! We also got to take an investigator to the temple! So fun. I love the fact that we can go to the oakland temple. its so pretty! and she loved it! Also the weather has been cooler! so thats a plus. haha umm so sorry this email is short again. one day i might write a long one. hopefully when more happens. but until then i will just write short ones! sorry yall!
