And Another One Bites the dust!

So another transfer has come to an end. In the front of every planner I always put what transfer I am on. for example my 1st transfer said 1/13. Now my planner says 9/13. WHEN THE HECK DID THAT HAPPEN??? I remember thinking oh man I am never going to get to 5 transfers! now I am at 9. I only have 5 transfers left! YIKES! But now so I am sure you are all wondering where I will be spending my 9th transfer I guess I will tell you. I am being transfered. just kidding! 6 more weeks of Monterey here I come!!!!!!  I am so excited!!!! So now let me tell you about my week. 

Monday- Once again the whole zone is boring and they went bowling. Bowling?? REally we live in MONTEREY!!! Why on earth do you spend a nice beautiful sunny day inside a dark bowling alley when you could be on a beach???? Silly missionaries. So needless to say we went to the beach. hahaha We also stopped by anthropology to do some shopping with a gift card we had. I like their clothes. A lot. But not their price tags. I need to be rich to shop there! But I did get a couple of cute shirts with the gift card I had so that was great! but then off to the beach as usual. 

Tuesday- Good lessons, District mtg... Volley ball... oh man I finally spiked it! Well I tapped the ball right as it came over the net and then It went over the other side and we scored. Best moment of my life. Okay not really. But it was fun!

Wednesday- Some great lessons, fun service... we had a lesson with MAry which was fun... we got mexican hot chocolate... oh yeah so I spent all week worrying about transfers and wednesday afternoon we were at service with the elders and then went to lunch with the mbr we were helping and the elders looked at us and said no worries you arent getting transfered i just talked to president. So then I was a little hopeful that I would stay but then later that day we had a missed call from president. So we called back and he didnt answer. PRetty much I wasnt breathing during the whole rest of the day. But then he called back while we were with Mary and just wanted to check on how things were. that was close. But I still didnt rest easy until after saturday night transfer calls. 

thursday-More good elssons, we saw destry! He is getting baptized this saturday!!! we are so excited! We also had a lesson with sam and we brought brother and sister Lemmon. Who are now president and sister Lemmon. He is in the mission presidency. no pressure lesson at all... but it went just fine so its all good! Plus they are amazing!

Friday-We saw jeremy and his kids, he is moving this week so thats no good. WE also had dinner at pebble beach. and we had a bonfire. It was great!!!

Saturday- Splits! my comp went to palo alto for a baptism and I stayed iwth our awesome ysa may and we did misisonary work here! it was great! we had a baptism, her name is wendy and she was baptized in our ward, but the chinese elders taught her. Then satruday night we went to toryns house! she is in the ysa but is at byu I but came back for the weekend so we went and taught her and then talked with her and her friends and other ward members for a while. okay like an hour. it was fun. haha The best is the deep doctirne talks we have with her dad. haha 

Sunday- Church, more church and the Out going fireside!!! Destry and Keliah took us and mary up, it was soooo good! and So sad to see so many people I ahve served with go home! This is the transfer that starts all the people I know well going home. Like Elder irvine last night, when I came in he was my zone leader. he had been out 13ish months. Now he goes home wednesday. where did the last 11 months go!!! And sis Fui is leaving me... so sad. But it will be good! 

So basically it was a great week. and a good memorial day weekend! We had a bonefire dinner... a nice fireside... and today the beach. Its great! oh and on a random note we went and found this random beach on day for exercise and there was a dead whale. sad day. Sorry to end on such a sad note.... got to go! love you all!

I have the best mission in the WOLRD!

Why do I have the best mission i the world you ask? Well lets go over the week...

Monday- PDAY! we went to the beach. Shocking I know. it was so much fun! we just sat and talked and relaxed. I love the beach. 

Tuesday- ZONE CONFERENCE!!! So first I got to see some of the other sisters I havent seen in a while! like Sister Ellis and Sister Carson! it was so good to see them! And of course Zone conference was great! They did a Qand A panel with the mission presidency which was really cool. and we just heard a lot of good talks! Its always fun to hear from President and Sister Watkins. Unfortunatly this was their last zone conference. :( 

Wednesday-Lots of good lessons! and we got to see mary which was fun, we had our lesson out in a park next to the ocean. I love monterey. haha

Thursday-More good lessons..

Friday- More lessons.... also we had a lot of fun service this week! we helped at a lady's house in carmel, her name is Nana Vega, she is so fun! and her house is crazy decorated all the time and she has a pool that i really want to swim in. I hate that no water rule. haha we also got to help at a "health fair" for the seniors in the senior center. which meant we tested them on different exercises. which by the way. they are all in better shape than me. Im not lying. it was sad. hahaha 

Saturday-SISTERS RETREAT!!! Okay so they called it "specialized sisters training" Psh is was sisters retreat. so sisters retreat is one of many reasons that I have the best mission. Why? because they had SISTER ELAINE S. DALTON come speak to  us.  I GOT TO HUG HER!!!!!! it was really cool. She is so sweet! I loved what she had to say and then it was so funny becasue she answered her phone in the middle of the talk and it was priceless. We also got to hear from president and sister watkins, it was great but slightly sad because its the last time they will speak except for the out going fireside this sunday. President said he through his whole tlak out and then he just spoke on life after the mission and dating and such. it was really good. not that I am in any hurry for any of that dating stuff. hahaha so saturday rocked. Then we came back home and made dinner for one ofthe elders investigators and made a cake for one of our ysa's bdays' and took them to them. it was fun!

Sunday-church, good as always, then we had ashley blow out her candles from her cake that I had previously mentioned and then we had scripture study at the rehaks for one last time before they move but Taylor tamacori was skyping in on the night so we got to talk to her too!!! it was great.

Well its basically been an awesome week and I hope you all enjoy this week! love you all!

God Answers Prayers

Hello Everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic week!! I did! Also to all of you that I got to see on Skype last night it was soooo good to see you all! Man I miss you all! Ashlyn stop growing you are getting too tall. 

So anywho lets go over the week shall we? 

So Monday, guess what we did? Went to the beach. Shocking I know. hahaha so anyways it was good fun, we went to a different part of the beach this time so that was exciting. haha But the best part leads back to the title of this email. God answers prayers. So I might have mentioned that we played with a metal detector last week... so anywho some of the elders brought it to the beach to give it back to the monterey elders so that they could give it back to the mbrs in their ward. So we propped it up by a tree and kept playing. then we all left. So fast forward to 10:05 that night. I get this thought. the metal detector is by the tree. So I text the elders and they dont respond. So the I proceed to pray like I never have before (okay that might not be true but still) that the metal detector is still by the tree. So I go to bed and in the morning get a text from the elders saying that they left the metal detector there but its okay because they went back that mornign and it was still there!! People god answers prayers. Really, there is no reason that metal detector should have still been there. BUT IT WAS! So yep that was a good part of the week!

Tuesday- was good. 

Wedesday- also good. Oh we saw MAry! so it was really good. haha

Thursday- Taylor tamacori left us for colorado and utah... I was sad. 

Friday- we had zone training mtg. it was also good. but it also made for a long day! But then we went and saw a guy in our ward and met his kids. they are sooo cute! the youngest jumped out of the car and came running up to us and hugged us. it was adorable. haha then we had dinner at Mays house which is always a blast! (she is a ysa in our ward) 

SATURDAY!! = BAPTISM DAY!!! 

so we started the day by driving up to palo alto to a baptism in Sister Smiths last area. Can you say Stanford Singles ward? I can! and I sure hope thats my future area! That would rock. hahaha but the baptism was amazing! so fun! then we drove back to monterey for our baptism!! Thomas a 10 year old got baptized! he was so cute! he was crying and he loved every second of it. and when he was confirmed on sunday I almost cried. I love baptisms! 

Oh speaking of I forgot! Destry set a baptismal date! may 31st! More baptisms here we come! 

Yesterday was good of course, skyping was a blast! We also got to go to Mary's patriarchal blessing, We didnt sit in but we went as support and staying in a nother room. It was so amazing! Love that girl.

Well I better be off, there is a rumor that Sister Ellis is down here in monterey and I have to go find her!  love you all and have a wonderful week!

MAY???

Ummm excuse me but when did it become May? I liked what Chase sent to me in his email today "a year ago you were sitting at home thinking you had a month before you left and heading to Atlanta and now you are sitting on a beach hoping you never get transferred." True Story! hahaha Really though when did May get here? So it was a great week! Lets start with Monday :)

Monday-PDAY! I will let you all guess what we did. Went to the beach. shocking I know. haha While at the beach me and my comp got buried in the sand. I  was a mess afterward. hahaha  but then we went and got slushies because thats a tradition and then we went to dinner at bishops house (love that family) but then we went to FHE, and guess what we did?? We watched The Other Side of Heaven. and Guess what? THATS A REAL MOVIE!!! Put on by disney and all!!! it has Anne Hathaway in it!!! So we are not technically allowed to watch it but we called our president and he loves us so he let us watch it. It was great. And the we decided to borrow the elders projector for the rest of the week and set up a movie theater in our room with our closet doors as the screen and watched church videos every night. It was great. hahaha

Tuesday-We saw Taylor, she is leaving to go back to Utah this week. I mad at her. 

Wednesday- We saw Taylor again. Im not in Denial at all. But she came out and played missionary with us, it was a blast! and then she had a bucket of gummy worms that we were eating and then she left us and then we saw the gummy worms and she had left a note to finish them. I then sent her a text saying " I said last one! not leave the whole bucket!" hahaha I love that girl

Thursday- We saw Taylor twice today. hahaha We also saw Destry and Keliah, they are so fun! I love them! Destry is praying and fasted yesterday for a baptismal date so hopefully this week we should have a set date! 

Friday-We saw Nael, our investigator from jordan, he great except he doesnt want to get baptized. Because in iraq and jordan where he is from religion kills. understandable. but we do have him praying about baptism so hopefully we can get him to want to be baptized!

Saturday- we played frisbee and soccer with the ysa and some random military kids. it was so fun! except the fact that as a sister I am not allowed to run into guys. which makes playing soccer quite annoying. But it was still a lot of fun! I scored the winning goal. Not that we were keeping count... actually we werent. it was more like "next goal wins!" haha then we saw Mary! I hadnt seen her all week so I was going crazy. haha IT was fun we talked with her saturday night and then sunday as well. She is getting her patriarchal blessing on sunday so the devil is starting to attack her again but she will be okay! She rocks. Also Saturday we had a bonefire for Taylor. Always fun! (yes people I do, do missionary work I swear! I have just perfected the "how to be an awesome missionary and yet still have fun theory!") 

Sunday- Good day, we had a competition with our district leader on who could get more lessons this week since we have beat them in lessons since I got here 3+ months ago. So we were at 27 and they said they were at 24. But then they called and told us that they had to repent because they had lied. they were at 30. So they beat us. well done elders, well done. But good news, its a new week!
