Welcome To...

MONTEREY!!!  Yes that is right I am in beautiful Monterey! How lucky am I? Very, I know. There I was a transfer meeting waiting for my name to be called and then the monterey zone came up and one of the sisters from pleasanton was like "your going there" and I was like "yeah right" and then they called my name! Crazy! But its great. Its definatly diffferent. A lot busier. My comp Sister Neff and I cover the ysa ward and one of the monterey wards so our area covers pretty much the entire penuinsula. Which includes pebble beach, carmel and big sur. So basically I went from the very north you can get in the mission to the very south. Awesome. Now I jsut need to end in palo atlt. haha
So yes this week has been crazy busy! my last week in dublin we had 25 lessons which is the most I have ever done and this week in monterey we had 33. yep. I have felt really out of the loop because I know nothing about the area or people but I am learing so that is good. There are some amazing people here and I am really excited to get to know them. Its going to be a very different experience than Dublin but hey change is good. The only problem with this whole monterey thing is that Sister Ellis ( a sister I used to live with ) and I had a plan to end our missions together in monterey. Which is really awkward because Im here and she isnt. whoops. But I have a back up plan so its all good. haha
We also had quite a few street contacting lessons this week which are so much fun! Nothing more awkward than asking some stranger if we can say a prayer in the middile of a busy sidewalk! But most of them took it in stride. haha
Well sorry this is lame and short but look forward to new exciting stories from monterey next week!

The End has Come

Well to start sorry I didnt email last week. With transfers it turned out that I ended up not being able to email. Which leads us to this week and very lame short emails since I have to play catch up. So to start the end of my time in Dublin has come. Or came. I got the transfer call on saturday night and said farewell on tuesday morning.
It was an amazing last week. I had a pretty good idea that I would be leaving so basically I called everyone and their dog and told them that I was leaving and that I wanted to come and say goodbye. It was really hard to leave I am not going to lie. I have loved serviving in Dublin and even though I was a hard area and maybe we didnt always have the best numbers I truly came to love the people. My last couple nights I came to realize how much I had helped the people in this ward and area and how much I was really going to miss them. The church is so true and even if all my people that I invited to church didnt come it was still neat to say goodbye. The good news is that I am totally going back to visit! So mom and dad plan on spending some time there when you come to pick me up.
Well sorry this is so short but I need to send my weekly email for this week!

7 Months!

Well everyone I hit my 7 months yesterday! Holy crap when did that happen!? Six months is like wow cool. 7 months is like ummm wait thats a lot. hahaha good thing I still have 11 more to go!
So first transfers are next week. And I will 99.9% be leaving dublin. sad day. but its okay I can go somewhere new!  also I am not sure when I will email next week... Stay tuned for that! Holidays I tell you the make the library close!
So this was a slightly odd week. we helped at Brother Beards funeral. He was a member in our ward and we would go see his wife. The worst part though is that sister Beard became sick on tuesday and had to be taken to the hospital so she wasnt even there for the funeral! I am pretty sure she is getting better now though. I think they brought her home yesterday. I sure hope she is okay, she is a sweet lady!
We also had apartment inspections with president as well as interviews. Which meant we scrubbed our appartment for over 12 hours and then when they came they didnt even look at the apartment. awesome. hahaha
Also Daniel our less active neighbor came to church for the first time yesterday!! I almost cried. really Im not sure whose smile was bigger mines or the bishops.
also our other less active was put in charge of the programs. which means she chooses the hymns. Which means I havent heard any of them. hahahaha Oh man we had a good laugh at her house yesterday as I told her all of this. got to love it.
Also in this mission we dont tract. so no knocking on doors for me. So we street contact. I thought I would start putting some of our entertaining experiences from that in my emails. So this week we met Rodney. A man that may have worked at cheveron making 74.50 an hour but was then shot through the head and the stayed in the hospital for 2 years and then was told that he only had 84 days to live but has not died and its been quite a while since then. Anywho he is homeless. I think. and goes around rapping things about the bible. its pretty awesome. hahah And then he made me and my comp hug right there in the middle of the bart station. that was awkward. hahaha
So yes no knocking on door stories but plenty of street contacts. My life.
Well I love you all and I hope you have a wonderful week! This church is true!

Happy New Year!

Well sorry everyone but this email might be pretty lame. :)
So it was actually a really good week! A slow one at first with the holiday,. no one was home or they were heading out :( But you know new years eve was a blast. we went to bed at 10:30,. set an alarm for 11:55, woke up counted down to 2014, watched a couple fireworks go off in dublin and went back to bed. not the most exciting new year of my life. but seeing as I cant even remember what I was doing last year it clearly wasnt the most boring. hahaha
The rest of the week was good. I was with our sister training leader for a day. that was fun. and Everyone we went to see was home so that was really good. We also made some good contacts. there was this guy named john who said he always talked to the jehovah witness' so we talked to him and gave him a book of mormon and he told us to stop by whenever! yay! we also saw a wolf. really. it was walking on this trail. okay so it was only part wolf. I guess it was a wolf malumut mix. but it really looked like a wolf. I wanted to pet it but the owner wouldnt let it get to close in case it ruined our skirts. lame.
It was also a really good week with the members we saw. I have really come to love the memebers here and I am really going to miss them when I get transfered. The good news is that I keep telling them all I am coming back to visit and so hopefully they will remember me. hahaha
Well thats all for this week, sorry its boring!
Love you all!
